My Story
"When you find an opportunity to make a positive impact, whether it's small or large, don't pass it up."
My name is La'Jasha Champion and I'm passionate about
visual arts. Although I was originally born in Tyler, Texas, I currently live in Humble, Texas. I am currently a Junior that's studying New Media Art at the University of North Texas.
During my early childhood, I was always attached to painting,
writing, and crafting. A few years ago, I grew an interest in artwork that was created on computers. I was fortunate to be awarded my first Ipad2 in Intermediate school. As a result, my love for graphic design grew.
With the help of my Ipad 2, I was able to become a published
illustrator for a children's book for iWrite in 2016. I created a winning t-shirt design for Musical Scores at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for hundreds of students to wear. Also, I was able to intertwine my digital art skills with the engineering side of computer modeling. This combination landed me a trip to Boston, MA as a national qualifier in BPA. I can say that my past experiences have helped shape my artistic path and who I am today.
Currently, I am a freelancer that produces graphic designs
(ex: logos, etc.), illustrations (ex: for book covers, personal use, etc.) for various clients.
